The euroSCHIRM Light Trek Automatic Umbrella is my favourite small umbrella but it has one problem: The sleeve it comes with didn’t last very long and ended up looking like this:

I wanted to keep using a sleeve that I can attach to a bag because an umbrella in the car isn’t very useful if you have to get to the car. The sleeve I ended up making used a solid brass bolt snap, a small magnetic snap and some vegetable tanned kangaroo leather. All hand-stitched (around 12 stitches per inch):
