One from my “fun project ideas” folder: a leather case for a 60% keyboard (the Vortex Pok3r).
I picked some beautiful 4mm thick vegetable tanned leather from Victoria, Australia for the main 2 parts and lined it with black pigskin suede. The hinge at the back of the case is made from 2 layers of kangaroo leather and it’s all held together by 4 low-profile magnetic snaps.
All the hand-stitching was done with white artificial sinew.
The bottom part of the case can be taken off and used as a dust cover while the keyboard is not in use.
I also tried my hand on braiding kangaroo lace around the USB cable to match the style of the case.
Hi!
Therse are really nice Designs. I really like the red – would you mind to tell me what color you used?
Thank you very much,

Thank you! The dye I used was the normal “red” (not dark red or oxblood) from Fiebing’s
